Dr. Sanders graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Nutritonal Sciences. She then earned a master’s degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and received her medical degree from The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.  Dr. Sanders went on to complete her pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center, where she later joined the General Pediatrics and Community Health Division.

She lives with her husband in Takoma Park, Maryland.  In her free time, Dr. Sanders loves reading romance and historical fiction, practicing yoga, and exploring the outdoors, both locally and across the country. She’s well on her way to achieving her goal of visiting every state at least once.
