Ear Piercing We will pierce the ears of infants 2 months to 12 months old. Children over 9 years tolerate the procedure best. We will not restrain children for this procedure, hence, we advise those that have missed the infant timeframe to wait until after 9 yrs old. Procedure is not charged to insurance. Elizabeth Gilliam-Hertz M.D. Dr. Gilliam graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Philosophy. She received her M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she earned an award for excellence in Pediatrics. She and Dr. Yee completed pediatric residency training together in the Primary Care Track at Children’s National, finishing in 2012. Dr. Gilliam joined the Gaithersburg office of Children’s National Pediatricians and Associates immediately following residency, continuing through December 2020. Dr. Gilliam is thrilled to be part of a practice closer to her home in the Silver Spring area, where she lives with her husband and two daughters. She loves to hike and walk in Rock Creek Park, and hopes that someday (post COVID) she can resume annual visits to family in Copenhagen and friends in London! < Previous < Home > Next >

Judy Wang M.D. Dr. Wang graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Biology. She earned a master's degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland, where she remained to complete her pediatric residency. She joined the practice in 2006. She loves the interactions and the relationships that she has developed with her patients and their family. We no longer require printing of forms or in-person pickup. To provide safe and effective care we require all our families take the following steps: 1. To provide the best care to your child we require that they have an office visit at least 2 times a year (WCC plus ADHD focused visit), approx 6 months apart. 2. You must have an active portal account. If you require assistance please call our office. This allows for confidential communication. 3. You will request a medication refill through the portal every month. We can provide a 90-day prescription if your child is on a stable dose AND your insurance allows this (please confirm with your insurance company - they may require a specific pharmacy or mail order). 4. When you request a refill through the portal, please indicate the medication name and dose, the pharmacy, and your next scheduled appointment. 5. Please request refills 5 business days in advance. Keren Muller, M.D. Dr. Muller graduated from Princeton University with a degree in molecular biology. She received her medical degree from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. She completed her pediatrics residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Muller joined the practice in 2025 after 7 years in private practice in Montgomery County. She lives in Silver Spring with her husband and 3 children. Jamila Marcus Potter M.D. Dr. Marcus joined Silver Spring Pediatrics in June 2016. She graduated from Spelman College with a degree in Biology. Dr. Marcus received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and earned pediatric departmental honors. Dr. Marcus completed her pediatric internship at Emory University and her pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins University, finishing in 2008. She and her family live in Silver Spring. Emily Yee M.D. Dr. Yee graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Biology. She worked for an educational company in many roles from educator to business manager before attending New Jersey Medical School. Her pediatric training was completed at Children's National Medical Center in 2012 at which point she joined the practice. Dr. Yee lives in Washington, DC with her family. She has enjoyed the added depth raising a son and daughter has given her in her interactions with families. Cara Lichtenstein M.D. Dr. Lichtenstein was born and raised in New York and is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in Mathematics. After undergraduate, she returned to NY for medical school at Mt Sinai School of Medicine and pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She moved to this area to complete a fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics at Children’s National and went on to practice at one of their community-based clinical sites in Washington, DC from 2004-2021. She was also an Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program at Children’s National from 2008-2021. She is incredibly excited to become the newest member of the Silver Spring Pediatrics family! Outside of medicine, Dr. Lichtenstein enjoys running, swimming, and is an avid skier. New parents are invited to come and hear more about our office, tour our office virtually, and ask questions. We briefly discuss our team, philosophy, accessibility, feeding, vaccines (letter to parents link), and safety, just to name a few topics.
