New Patient PRE NATAL Once a month we hold a group prenatal discussion hosted by a rotating SSP physician. New parents are invited to come and hear more about our office, tour our office virtually, and ask questions. We briefly discuss our team, philosophy, accessibility, feeding, vaccines (letter to parents link), and safety, just to name a few topics. Please call 301-625-2800 to inquire about the date of our next prenatal conference. NEWBORN & ADOPTION RECOMMENDATIONS Should you choose our office please give us a call prior to hospital discharge to arrange for your baby’s first well visit, which is typically within 48 hours of bringing them home. - Emily Yee M.D.
< Previous Emily Yee M.D. Dr. Yee graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Biology. She worked for an educational company in many roles from educator to business manager before attending New Jersey Medical School. Her pediatric training was completed at Children's National Medical Center in 2012 at which point she joined the practice. Dr. Yee lives in Washington, DC with her family. She has enjoyed the added depth raising a son and daughter has given her in her interactions with families. A fun fact is that Dr. Yee and Dr. Schooler were rugby teammates in college. < Home > Next >
- Elizabeth Gilliam-Hertz M.D.
< Previous Elizabeth Gilliam-Hertz M.D. Dr. Gilliam graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Philosophy. She received her M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she earned an award for excellence in Pediatrics. She and Dr. Yee completed pediatric residency training together in the Primary Care Track at Children’s National, finishing in 2012. Dr. Gilliam joined the Gaithersburg office of Children’s National Pediatricians and Associates immediately following residency, continuing through December 2020. Dr. Gilliam is thrilled to be part of a practice closer to her home in the Silver Spring area, where she lives with her husband and two daughters. She loves to hike and walk in Rock Creek Park, and hopes that someday (post COVID) she can resume annual visits to family in Copenhagen and friends in London! < Home > Next >

< Previous Rachel Zang M.D. Born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, Dr. Zang graduated Magna Cum Laude in History and Science from Harvard College. She then received her medical degree from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, where she received an award from the pediatrics department. Dr. Zang completed her pediatrics residency, including a year as Chief Resident, at Children's National Medical Center. Dr. Zang's outside interests include spending time with her husband and two children, photography, reading, and staying active. < Previous Judy Wang M.D. Dr. Wang graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Biology. She earned a master's degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland, where she remained to complete her pediatric residency. She joined the practice in 2006. She loves the interactions and the relationships that she has developed with her patients and their family. < Previous Sarah Schooler M.D. Dr. Schooler graduated with honors from Harvard University with a degree in Psychology. She received her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where she graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Schooler completed her pediatric residency in 2004 at Children’s National Medical Center, where she and Dr. Zang subsequently served together as chief residents. Dr. Schooler joined the practice in 2005. Dr. Schooler lives in Washington, DC, with her wife and two children. < Previous Jamila Marcus Potter M.D. Dr. Marcus joined Silver Spring Pediatrics in June 2016. She graduated from Spelman College with a degree in Biology. Dr. Marcus received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and earned pediatric departmental honors. Dr. Marcus completed her pediatric internship at Emory University and her pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins University, finishing in 2008. She and her family live in Silver Spring.
